A historic barn is reimagined
What was once a simple agricultural building is now an outstanding example of sustainable transformation with soul: a historic barn, lovingly refurbished, welcomes visitors and residents alike with a unique interplay of old and new.
Particularly noteworthy is the consistent use of natural materials, which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also create a healthy indoor climate.
The clay plaster walls in the interior help to regulate the humidity and give the rooms a warm, organic feel. The solid oak roof truss - complemented by elegant oak cladding in the attic - is a testament to traditional craftsmanship and at the same time provides an impressive setting for modern living and working.
The first floor of the revitalized barn is home to a dental practice that sets new standards in terms of design quality. Natural materials typical of the area are deliberately used here, such as Belgian granite as a robust and stylish floor covering. The practice combines functional requirements with an ambience that radiates calm, trust and regionality - a space that welcomes patients and at the same time offers the team a pleasant working environment.
There are two generously proportioned apartments on the upper floor of the barn. Generous window areas and well thought-out floor plans allow almost all-round views of the picturesque Voreifel landscape - from the first ray of sunshine to the sunset. The combination of natural building materials, light-flooded rooms and the direct connection to the surroundings creates a feeling of living that is both grounding and inspiring.
